Da Huang Also Known As: rhubarb root and rhizome, chuan jun, sheng jun, jiang jun, jin wen
Properties: BITTER - COLD
Dosage: 3 -12g
Meridians/Channels: HEART, LARGE INTESTINE, LIVER, STOMACH
- Drains heat and purges accumilation for high fever, sweating, thirst, constipation, abdominal distension, delirium and yellow tongue coating
- Drains damp heat by defication
- Drains heat from the blood for the treatment of blood in the stools, hemorrhoids, vommiting blood or nosebleeds
- Invigorates the blood and dispels blood stasis for abdominal masses, amenorrhea and fixed pain due to blood stasis
